What is Avalon?

The Avalon System is a customized, comprehensive communication and emergency call system designed specifically for the Senior Housing Marketplace. Using a robust web browser platform, it provides rapid and safe communication between residents and caregivers. Communication services to residents, such as dial tone and private voice mail, along with an automated system for resident services billing. Monitoring of caregiver activities and a reporting system for all communication is readily available to the System Administrator.

Avalon automatically and immediately informs caregivers of aid or emergency requests via alphanumeric pagers or wireless telephones. In the event of an aid request, staff members are provided with location information and details of the request (i.e., identity, severity).

Residents can send alerts to care givers in any number of ways, including a standard telephone in their room (if installed). The resident can send an alert by either dialing an emergency number, such as 911, or simply lifting the telephone handset from its cradle for a specified period of time without initiating a call.

Other alerting devices can be any of the following:

    • Pull cords (wired or wireless)
    • Push to Talk (call box) devices
    • Smoke Alarms
    • Wireless Pendants
    • Door or Window Alarms
    • Wanderer Monitoring Systems

The Avalon system features remote diagnostics and maintenance. We maintain our commitment to excellence and service by offering a single point of contact, eliminating multiple calls to various vendors. We are proud of our leadership role in this marketplace and now offer IP Telephony and WiFi communications for the Senior Housing market.
